Inspired by Netflix’s Midnight Mass, Pruitt’s Plan explores the consequences of blind faith and the pursuit of divine purpose. Centered on St. Patrick’s Church glowing within an intricately carved fireplace, the painting frames faith as both sanctuary and entrapment. Through layered references to redemption, transformation, and destruction, it reflects on Father Paul’s conviction in fulfilling what he believes to be God’s plan, despite its catastrophic cost. The work considers the fragile boundary between salvation and ruin.
